This HOA makes up rules as they go.

They allowed an unauthorized cinder block wall to be put up by folks they new.

The wall is falling in my yard, wall was put up with no support at all.

When I complained they grandfathered the wall in so they did not have to fix the mistake made.., passing the cost onto a new first time homeowner.

These folks are as crooked as trump. They lie like trump, give promises like trump. And follow through just like trump

How an hoa can avoid ticketing friends of the hoa and if youre not friends with the hoa then you are made to follow the rules just like all the other abusers of power.

Money, greed, and unethical is the key make up of this hoa.

Cons:
  • Criminals that can care less

Preferred solution: 15,000 to fix what the hoa allowed

HOA and our homes

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Well, I get a notice that I will be fined 200.00 if I leave my trash can out a day past pick up.

But, the hoa allowed a little gray cinder block wall to go up because the neighbors had been friends with an HOA member. These neighbors put there house on the market and I complained for months that the wall they put up was not put up properly and it was an eye sore.

I was ignored 6 months before the house sold! Told to mind my own business.

This wall has nothing...no support, no nothing...they stacked up cinder blocks and put nothing else ...then dumped a ton of rock on top of it pushing it to a 35 degree angle towards my new lawn.

I told them this many times, fought with the associate who did not want to do crap, so I was just ignored.

Now the new owners moved in, they want to replace it because you can't walk on the rocks because it pushes the wall towards my property...so now the new owners, first time buyers are getting screwed because they know it needs to be replaced...at 10,000.00!

I told this to the HOA...they do not care

They allowed the wall to be put up by a friend and because the old owners had been friends with this HOA person... The wall still stands

So, if I can get charged 200.00 for letting my trash can stay out an extra day...what will me and my neighbor get paid for 2 years of ignoring the complaint.

I say if a trash can for one day is 200.00 ...then a wall that should have never been allowed to be put up... We are owed at least 10,000.00 dollars each...and the HOA should have to fix the wall.

At minimum the HOA has to fix the wall because they allowed it and ignored my complaints...but if this goes to court...we are adding fines like they do to us for a trash can.

You can't play favorites in an HOA situation and to allow one home to put up an ugly, non functional wall just because your friends are on the HOA...this is criminal.

  • Do everything for them

Preferred solution: Wall fixed and compensation for being ignored and belittled by the HOA service.

User's recommendation: HOA needs to be watched and money needs to be audited.

Just bad service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have decided to be part of Westwind...but I am going to be the unsilent guy.

After my dealing with the wall the neighbors put up, falls in my yard killing my new lawn....rocks, dirt, and cinder blocks in my lawn. I had complained for years about this...no way in *** someone can put up a cinder block wall that looks like crap without the HOA approval...then, when they put the wall up...they used no cement, no rods, no nothing...built this wall like if you had been 10 years old and needed a temporary fort to play in. So, I have had cinder blocks, rocks and dirt falling in my yard for years...and have complained for years...the only thing I can figure the HOA and this home had been friends and they did not want to tell friends to fix things, this is the only thing that makes sense! Because I have had the HOA after me for trees, they told me down them now or be fined.....and yet the little ugly wall...and its butt ugly....cant miss it...looks like bums built a wind wall so they could sleep.

The rocks and dirt had been put in after they put the wall up...meaning...the wall that has no holding...no rods....no cement....was then filled with rock and dirt....what you see today...is each time someone walks on the dirt and rocks...it pushes each block out...at different places...meaning...its like Jenga....when one brick goes...it will come down.

The worst part about this...they sold their home...I contacted the HOA before closing again reminding them about this wall...and no surprise....the HOA told me to suck it up and stop complaining...they are in charge. And yet they have no record of the little gray wall ever being asked to be built...and yet it sits there?

This wall now has a 20% slant towards my yard...it will one day after a bunch of rain fall totally in my yard killing most of my grass and then I will have to have the lawn redone....talking with the new home owners they want to help and fix the situation...as good neighbors would! And I thank them for being true neighbors! But, now you have someone who bought there new home having to fix the crap another owner did and the HOA standing around with hands in there pockets going....as long as you pay your HOA fees....we do not care...this is not protecting your home owners...this is ripping them off.

So, To help the documented issues....because I was told the little gray wall paperwork and records are all gone from back then....so...no record....no fixing via HOA.

So, you can now call me...The HOA record holder! I am retired military and my wife just retired...we got time on our hands...So, I will be walking around and taking great pictures of our neighborhood...I will be posting them on the HOA site and asking them to look into it....this way they will have a record and I will have a record....so if this ever happens again....I will make sure we have something to reference.

This was all brought on by the HOA member I chatted at....she should have done the right thing and had the wall taken out and replaced properly (If they wanted the wall) and never allow a new person to take on another home owners mess...this is what an HOA is supposed to do.

Everything I do to my home is to increase the value or look better....this wall...cinder block wall...(at least make them use brick and cement!).. should never have been put up and yet...it has been there for years....I get notes each spring....cut down trees (that they could have never seen unless they had been in some ones back yard...kinda strage hey?) and yet over the last 7 years they keep missing this little gray wall that will...if not this year or next year...be part of my yard without being fixed!

Again, I have talked with the new owner and we will fix this together....so since we are cleaning up your mess...the least you can do is wave my neighbors HOA fees for a year so they have the money to fix the wall you refused to see.

This wall should be paid for and fixed by the HOA! They allowed it to go up...and as it sagged, bricks come out of rank (cinder blocks shifting) and will cause damage to my yard...and then the HOA will refuse to clean up the mess...because they did not have a record of the wall going up...and yet...they had to see it.

I sent enough photos to the HOA...will not repeat.

I read your mission statement...the question is this...has all of your HOA members?

User's recommendation: we need an HOA...just because it helps, if they are responsive and fair to all, this is the only way an HOA can work, if you have members who do not care enough to look and fix issues...then do they need to be there?

Westwind Management Group - Predatory practices
Updated by user Sep 21, 2021

I am suffering mental distress because my new plates will not arrive for 2 more weeks, and until then, I have to park half a mile from my home and walk, because I will be towed if I enter the complex.

Original review Sep 21, 2021
Westwind colludes with predatory towing companies to tow residents' vehicles from their homes for minor infractions that would only receive a ticket from law enforcement. They must not be allowed to prey on their own residents. They are vultures.

Cons:
  • Poor communication
  • Anti-homeowner
  • Predatory

Preferred solution: Change in policy and an acknowledgment that they have been engaging in predatory practices.

User's recommendation: Stay away. Do not let your community be managed by Westwind.

I have lived in a community managed by Westwind management, that targets some one like me to enforce the “rules “, to assault and sue. The HOA management has been assault me with the the fences, which had been maintained by the HOA for 20 years since 2014. Though I have stained twice with the paint it requested, it has still requested more paint, while my neighbors’ fences have been on the ground for years and/or fences have never seen painted till today, it sues me in the court, requiring me to pay its legal fees. This Westwind management has done nothing to the neighborhood but damages, that made all the homeowners sell their homes cheaper and run away. The pictures show that my fences (picture2 & 6) are in best condition, all the other fences are the next door neighbors. The Westwind management has never questioned the other people but sues me!

Westwind Management Group Property Management Review from Aurora, Colorado

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Westwind management is the worst management company that any HOA could hire in Colorado. We as a community in the Seville townhomes are being robbed by this company. We are to have gardners, snow removal, etc....don't see this being done. No notice when water is turned off, no notice when major jobs are being done in the community, no one answers at 303 369 ****. When they do finally answer...give a bunch of lies. They are rude and unprofessional.

Westwind is pleasing the Board not the communities. It is their responsibility to follow their own rules. Shame on Westwing and the Boards.

I agree completely to your statement. They are the management company for the Bungalows at Green Valley Ranch and have had the same issue.

Guest

Westwind Management is the worst Management Company in the world. They are rude and very unprofessional management Company.

Guest

That's how management companies work. They don't do anything but demand money while not keeping the property in an acceptable condition.

The owner of Westwind drives a large pricey car yet does nothing about buildings which are falling apart, etc. They are supposed to help run complexes...all they actually do is run them into disrepair. While the management companies state they have no decision making powers, as they are the ones to dole out the money for upkeep, they have ALL the power! Face it, the management companies blame the HOAs and the residents.

The HOAs blame the residents and the management company. Meanwhile, the residents watch as their property investments go down the toilet. When the complex fails, the management companies move on to their next victims while claiming to be so fantastic.

They are thieves and that is obvious. Imagine if their communities could be managed by the same indifference.

Dear Seville Resident,

Thank you for your Google comment concerning your recent experience with Westwind Management Group, Inc. In response, please note that Westwind does not have the authority to dictate which landscape contractor or snow removal contractor your community uses.

The decision for service providers such as this, and their scope of work, is determined by the Board of Directors for the Seville Townhome Association. Further, because your community does not maintain any of the water and/or sewer lines in the community, Westwind Management is oftentimes the last to know when the water has been shut off by either the City of Aurora or individual homeowners in the community.

Most recently, the water was shut off at 5:25a.m. via a homeowner’s request to the City of Aurora because a neighboring home was leaking into this community member’s home. Two separate email notifications were sent to all individuals who have opted to participate in the community’s email notification program; one to advise community members of what had occurred and one to report that the issue had been resolved and the City of Aurora would be restoring water service.

The Board of Directors and Management worked diligently to facilitate communication between the City, the homeowner who requested the shut off, and the home that was leaking in an attempt to minimize the inconvenience this issue caused for community members and to facilitate water restoration as quickly as possible. The second email notice was sent to residents at 11:24a.m. on the same day.

“Major jobs” and notification of such work is also determined and directed by the Board of Directors. Your Association Business Manager works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure proper notification to community members when “major jobs” will impact residents, such as asphalt work, etc.

In closing, when you dial Westwind’s main number: 303-369-**** you reach a main menu that provides multiple options for reaching a live person, inclusive of dialing 2 for our emergency services operator (in the event you have reached our office outside of normal business hours or during our scheduled staff meetings wherein our entire office is unable to answer calls).

If you are not experiencing an emergency, such as lack of water, you are welcome to leave a message for your Association Business Manager or Administrative Assistant (with regard to community maintenance) and they will respond to your call within 24 business hours. You may also email your Association Manager through our website (www.westwindmanagement.com), or submit a maintenance request via our website, send a fax, or send an email directly from your computer (with rare exception all email addresses are the individual’s name @***.com).

If I can provide any additional information to resolve your above concern, please feel free to email me at jessica@***.com. Sincerely, Jessica Hanson, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, Executive Assistant
